There are four testing ports on the top of the pump two on each side of the charge pump port the two furthest away from the engine will be for the left drive motor, the pressure should be above 1000 psi to 3000 psi, when the control lever is engaged for that port, when the control lever is not moved there should be no pressure, the amount of pressure is dependent on throttle position.

I am also going though growing pains finding info on this system, but I have found that the center raised part of the pump is the charge pump, the port on the top of this is suppose to be giving 320-340+ psi at full throttle, this supplys pressure to the high pressure pumps one forward and one rearward, (next to the engine), the one closest to the engine provides power to the right side, and the pump furthest away from the engine is for the left side. I haven't been able to find a parts breakdown for this pump, but if you find one please let me know. I would check to see if you have a air lock in the hyd lines to the motor, bleed the hose for the left side. Just be safe you will be able to tell once you try to lift it if it will handle it.I am also going though growing pains finding info on this system, but I have found that the center raised part of the pump is the charge pump, the port on the top of this is suppose to be giving 320-340+ psi at full throttle, this supplys pressure to the high pressure pumps one forward and one rearward, (next to the engine), the one closest to the engine provides power to the right side, and the pump furthest away from the engine is for the left side. If you just want to pick it up and sit it straight down you can take some suitcase weights and chain them to the back where your tie down is if you think it will be a little light in the rear.

How many weights do you have on the back ? Down on the bottom. Could lift more if you had to just dead lift it I suppose.

I used to load pallets of seed with 30 50lb bags and that was just about the limit. Posted 21:33 (#1559591 - in reply to #1559170) Subject: RE: Case 1840ĭepends on how far from the arms your load is. Used to stack 1500 pound round bales with 400 pounds of extra weight on the back Try to unload uphill, that will help too. if your loader is rated for 1350, it will tip over with 2700 on it sitting still.īeen my experience on pallet forks, whatever it is rated at, you are OK at about 1.5 times that, maybe a hair more. Whatever rated capacity is, static tipping load is twice that.

That, plus I doubt that you have enough counter balance to keep from tipping forward. What does "safe working load" mean exactly? Edited by sparrell 18:55

I thought I remember that the safe working load of an 1840 was around 1425 lbs. Will an 1840 with pallet forks lift it a few feet off a flatbed without tipping so that the truck can drive ahead or do I need to find someone with a forklift? How much can a Case 1840 skidsteer lift? I've got a piece of equipment coming that weighs 1480 lbs. ( logon | register )Ĭase 1840 Jump to page : 1 Now viewing page 1
